When In Rome....

When In Rome....

Inspired by a picnic lunch on a Florentine rooftop and a Lambrusco Spritz, this drink is citrus-forward, salty, with a good kick of bitterness.

INGREDIENTS

  • 3oz The Saskatoon
  • 1/2oz saline solution*
  • 1/2oz (short pour) olive brine
  • 1 1/2oz blood orange soda to top
  • Drizzle of olive oil
  • Orange slice (to garnish)
  • Olives (to garnish)

INGREDIENTS

Stir The Saskatoon, saline solution, and olive juice over ice. Pour over ice in a stemless wine glass and top with blood orange soda. Drizzle a small quantity of olive oil over the blood orange float. Garnish with an orange slice and an olive!

*we admit to imprecision on this front and do not have measurements, but it should taste like the ocean.
